The sound quality is quite good with the standard Diablo

On mobile, the game boasts impressive graphics and impressive performance. However, you'll need relatively powerful phone to be able to run the game smoothly. In my Pixel 4a phone, D2R Items lurched and slowed often, and the machine ran very hot. It's also difficult to keep up with all the action on a screen this small especially when you have to concentrate on certain abilities. It is possible to alleviate this by playing with a tablet and using an appropriate controller. However, it's also possible to simply play with an PC.

The PC version isn't at all up to scratch however. It's still mobile games on a over-sized screen, because of its low resolution and its blurred textures. The animations of non-player characters are hilarious particularly in the way they function. The visual issues seem insignificant compared to the issues with gameplay. The pathfinding system isn't working properly; rewards don't always load properly as well; and worst of all, your attack button may occasionally not work, and nothing short of rebooting the game will make it work again. Imagine how much fun this is when you're on an intense dungeon quest.

On the other hand the sound quality is quite good with the standard Diablo sound that include pleasantly atmospheric background music, and decent voice acting.

I'm not averse to D2R items cheap. But I can imagine that some players might. It's a fairly inconsequential title within a lengthy series and the F2P mechanics are as invasive as they look. But if (and this is an enormous "if") you are able to make it through, there's an excellent game beneath with a great gameplay experience and a wide range of exciting games to try.
