When i heard that atari is going to be launching a brand new console i was just as sceptical as anybody who heard the news. There's countless of drama surrounding this console and many people called it out as a scam. Yet despite the bad press from the social media, atari managed to pull it off and prove to the people that the atari vcs 2020 project wasn't a scam.
But it's not very easy for the fans though, because they have to wait for 2 years straight. Not only that but the fans already doubt the atari's success on creating the next gen console.

Many of the old atari fans (those who lived in the nolan Bushnell era and Jack tramiel era) is full of doubt about the console and just straight up calling it a scam. This is evidently supported by the fact that their project was created on indiegogo, a startup project site that was not trustworthy. Another thing is, is that the console (atari vcs) have no games whatsoever when it was first revealed in the sneak peak.
Now we can only hope that more and more developers will develop a game for the atari vcs or otherwise atari vcs will ended up like ouya console, a console that failed spectacularly due to several issues such as badly designed controller and weak internet connectivity.
