windows 11 itself was already a modern-looking OS but there is one thing missing from windows 11 and that is the ability to multitask with a browser-like tab. there are several 3rd party programs out there with tabs that act like windows file explorer but the thing is, you can't replace file explorer. the only way you can add tabs to your file explorer is by installing a program called clover. the problem is that clover only works on windows 7. that doesn't necessarily mean it only works on windows 7, it does work on the later versions of windows but the thing is, it's just too slow.
qttabbar is a great alternative to clover but the software itself can get frustrating especially when it comes to the installation side of things. yep, that's right, I just installed qttabbar today, and let me tell you, it was not a pleasant experience. the qttabbar installer lags down to a halt. but in the end, I manage to successfully install qttabbar. there are some problems you will encounter when it comes to using qttabbar on the newer version of windows like windows 11.
the problem that I encountered when installing qttabbar on my windows 11 is that the tab didn't show up on the windows file explorer at all. it wasn't until I figure out that you must run the second program that came bundled with the qttabbar installer. if you are wondering, yes, the qttabbar installer comes in a form of a zip file so you have to extract the zip file first in order to run the installer.
