having some nostalgia for the old bbs websites? want to relive that nostalgia by visiting some old bbs website? if so then this tutorial is for you. in this tutorial i will show you how to enable telnet client on your Windows OS so you can visit those old bbs website.
step 1: search "turn windows features on or off" on your Windows search bar
type "turn windows features on or off" on your windows search bar. after you type "turn windows features on or off", open "turn windows features on or off" from the search result
step 2: turn on the telnet client by ticking the checkbox that has "telnet client" on it
after you open the "turn windows features on or off" from the search result, tick the checkbox that has the name "telnet client" on it. if you don't understand what I'm talking about, take a look at the picture below
just check the telnet client checkbox and click the 'ok' button. after you turn on the telnet client, it will prompt you to restart your windows OS. go ahead and restart your Windows.
after you restart your windows, open up the command prompt, type "telnet" and hit enter. now you are ready to open those old bbs websites.
