It's been a long time since I haven't posted a blog on this site. If you want to know why I didn't post anymore blog onto this site then you can check out this blog post I made to learn why I stopped posting blog on this site. Now to make it short, the reason why I stopped blogging with this site, is because it's just too much for me to handle. Currently I have 3 completed website. two of them was made by wix and one was made by wordpress. I begin to post blog on wordpress and stop caring to post blog on the other two websites I have because my wordpress site just load faster compared to wix.
This stuff is a pretty big deal because my wix website was just too slow. Even my wix editor x website still load slow. a speedy website is all I ever wanted so wordpress seems like the right choice for me but there is one huge problem. I can't add extension to my website. You see, my wordpress site was built using WordPress.com, the self hosted version of WordPress. In wordpress.com you can't add extension or in this case plug-in if you want to call it. Not to mention, making blog post on wordpress and managing my site on wordpress is harder than on wix but the thing that make me don't want to switch back to wix is not because of the speed but it's because of the blog features wordpress have that wix doesn't have.
The features that i like are: image slider for side-by-side image comparison, contact form (yes it exist), and social media post is embeddable on wordpress blog post.
The reason why I come back to wix
the reason is simple, seo. You see wix already have a fully customizable web page from the go, so making your website and web pages seo-friendly is easy. In wordpress on the other hand take a different approach. You can still make your web page and your website seo friendly but you'll need a plug-in (extension) for that. Also, spoiler alert: plug-ins on the self-hosted wordpress (wordpress.com) is not free. Wordpress plug-ins is free if you use WordPress.org and by the way, wordpress.org is just too difficult to maintain.
So I hope that clear things up on why I suddenly announcing myself that I will quit wix for good.
