best alternative to youtube app

youtube is a great platform for sharing videos online. not to mention, youtube allows you to do this for free. there is also the option to browse youtube in an app form. sadly, the youtube app is only available for android only. google hasn't made their app available on Microsoft store which is sad. google only made their youtube app available only for the xbox console. thankfully there is always a 3rd party option which you can try it out right now.

awesome tube = the best 3rd party youtube app

awesome tube is available for download through the Microsoft store. you can download awesome tube here:

once you already installed awesome tube, it's a good idea to log in to your account. the downside of all of these 3rd party youtube apps is that it doesn't allow you to view your notification which I do have to admit, it's kinda annoying. and the downside of using awesome tube is that you cannot reply to a specific person on a youtube comment thread. you either have to use the @ symbol to refer to people or just use the web version of youtube. but enough of the bad news stuff, let's focus on the good news.

the interface

if the image is hard to see then i'm sorry because this is the only thing i can get

if you are using windows 10 then the interface will look different. in windows 11, the interface of awesome tube is much more modern compared to the interface in windows 10. that's because in windows 11, Microsoft makes a huge change to UWP (universal windows apps). now, UWP is no longer slow and sluggish like it used to. it's really easy to use awesome tube and the experience of using it is quite pleasant. this app is by far the best alternative to the official youtube app.
