4chan is the only social media where you cannot give likes/dislike, approve/disapprove, and even upvote/downvote. instead, if you want to agree with the OP (Original Poster) then you need to share your thoughts on the comment section. that is what makes 4chan so great in the first place. also, 4chan is able to contain cancer, now when talking about cancer usually what comes into mind is a deadly disease right? nope. instead when social media term is applied cancer has a whole new meaning.
the definition of cancer in social media is that cancer is something that is both cringy and stupid. every single popular social media post out there is guaranteed to have cancer in them. the social media I found that has the most cancer is facebook with its cringy minion memes. of course, 4chan also have cancer in them but cancer rarely spread. if you don't know anything about 4chan then I'll explain to you what is all about 4chan. 4chan is a social media in the form of a bulletin board where users can discuss topics. each topic has its own board, and each board discuss a specific topic. for example if I want to participate in the board that discuss videogame i will go to the /v/ board.
The unique thing about these boards is that not only the board's name was shortened but each board on 4chan will automatically delete its own post. why? simple, it's because to preserve space. so every time you post something on these boards then your post will automatically get deleted. how long will your post be deleted? i don't know, but I'm assuming it will take 3 weeks or more.
the other thing that separates 4chan from the rest of the social media was the feature to become completely anonymous. users on 4chan don't have to sign-up for an account in order to post something, they can go ahead and post right away, no account registration required. each user gets its own number, yeah if you wonder what your username will be then fear not because your username is just a bunch of numbers. this also makes it harder to track which replying to who because not only your username is made out of number but there's no tree-style comment section (like the one on Reddit).
4chan is considered to be the birthplace of anonymous. anonymous is a decentralized international activist/hacktivist collective/movement that is widely known for its various cyber attacks against several governments. 4chan also considered being a meme factory back in its glory days. but what happened to 4chan? why we simply haven't heard much from it? it is simple. it's because of the owner of the site moot a.k.a Christopher 'moot' Poole sells 4chan in 2016. 4chan's culture is dead but the community is still alive.
if you want to browse 4chan though then I recommend you to stay out of the cancerous boards such as the /b/ board, the /pol/ board, and the /a/ board. the board I am interested in is the /x/ board. because like mysteries and the /x/ board is a board dedicated to solving mysteries.
